The total number of registered ’82-’93 Mustang GTs stands at 6,495, with 17 new registrations since the last update on 10/5/15. We extend our gratitude to all who have registered. While there’s still a long way to go in capturing a majority of existing GTs, even our current dataset provides valuable insights for the future.
Of the registered GTs, 5,705 are from the USA, 683 from other countries, and 107 with unspecified locations. Special thanks to Lars-Petter Kolkind, overseeing the Norwegian Mustang registry, for contributing data on 42 Norwegian GTs. Their efforts in gathering and submitting this information are greatly appreciated.
Responding to popular demand, we’ve introduced a table detailing the percentage breakdown of registered GT hatchbacks by roof type (T-tops, sunroof, or neither). While these percentages may not precisely mirror production figures, they offer insight into the popularity of different roof options. Notably, the data suggests that T-top models were more common than commonly perceived, particularly from 1982-1988.
Additionally, we’ve included tables showing the percentage of registered GTs by rear axle ratio and transmission type, addressing frequent requests for this information. These tables provide further depth to our registry and cater to the interests of our community.
